Night at the Museum
An after-hours evening at the University of Chicago’s ISAC Museum, with Café Masira among the galleries.
The ISAC Museum holds collections spanning ancient Egypt, Nubia, Persia, and Mesopotamia. For one evening after hours, Café Masira set up among them.
The night centred on A Bestiary of Ancient Nubia, a special exhibition on the place of animals in Nubian art and culture. Docents led tours through the galleries. There was live music, a MENA-inspired drink with every ticket, light refreshments, and a limited run of merchandise.
